We are delighted to share with you a small piece of paradise in this amazing island of Tasmania…Welcome to Fair Winds. 


This 2 year project has been a Grand design moment.  We created a home to rest & relax in comfort, a 9 star energy rating home, with the luxury accomodation standard that you can expect to ensure your comfort.


The design of Fair Winds was done with the expectation of  being able to view all angles of Brooks Bay & the stunning Huon river bringing an immediate sense of peacefulness, rest & above all calm.


The surrounding bush area brings nature to your door step while the discovery of the river edges will have you wandering for hours.


Short drive to the local wineries & the fabulous Tasmanian produces of the region will delighted your tastebuds not to mention fresh oysters & mussels collected from  Fair Wind’s water edge.


A drive to the nearby world heritage listed wilderness  area will take your breath away by its beauty;   discover Tasmania.

I haved stayed at many holiday rentals and Fair Winds would be the best place I have stayed. Located on the river with gorgeous views from all rooms and outside spa bath. Great cooks kitchen with top of the range appliances. Thoughtful touches on arrival. Good quality linen and towels. Very peaceful, you feel like you are at a retreat. Highly recommended.

From the moment you pull into the driveway and look down towards the property, it is just amazing. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed with the little extra touches on the table and in the fridge. We had a few “issues” with the electronic blinds but these were sorted speedily by a phone call (and the flick of a button - user error - oops!). We will definitely be back!
